The owner of the retreat had a dog, whom I got to know. I forget the dog’s name now, but while I was there, she went on my morning walks with me. The dog was super sweet, and very old. I often had to go back out by myself later to get a nice walk in. Her bones creaked, but she was always game to give it a go. It was a bit like walking with your grandma.
