I went to Desert Springs because I was feeling burnt out, and I wanted a retreat more than a vacation. The place I stayed had a number of meditation circles, plenty of solitude, access to vitamins, teas, and other supplies for those of us fasting, and oddly enough random, borderline celebrities. I won’t name drop, because I didn’t bother to remember them. But I did meet someone from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (I’m not a trekie, but I did like Voyager), and someone else from one of those WB comedies. She mentioned it, and I remember thinking, “Wow! you got a shitty timeslot,” but I don’t remember her name or the shows.
