A Few New Photo’s
To my glancing knowledge, each street in the Atwood-Schenk neighborhood has a slightly different feel/vibe to it. It's probably why, I prefer walking down some streets more than others. Well that, and the number of cats on a street. I love streets with tons of cats (tons meaning at least 2 or more).
I went for my morning walk today, and decided to take my camera. I may have mentioned, that I’m working on this website called Atwood Online. Basically, it’s a neighborhood website. My goal is to collect stories about the people, places, and things in the neighborhood. So, as I was taking a short route to the lake this morning, I thought “why not do a neighborhood pictorial, street by street?”.
A slightly different idea from my other neighborhood pictorial —Atwood 24 Hours— which is just a collection of images from each hour of the day all around the neighborhood; hoping to showcase the spirit of the neighborhood. This idea is focused in more on the streets. To my glancing knowledge, each street in the Atwood-Schenk neighborhood has a slightly different feel/vibe to it. It’s probably why, I prefer walking down some streets more than others. Well that, and the number of cats on a street. I love streets with tons of cats (tons meaning at least 2 or more).
So my new idea is a pictorial street by street. Select a street per day, and see what moves me, than take some rapid clips of it. Now this pictorial will go on the Atwood Online site and not mine; because it’s a work in progress and needs content, content, content. Besides its better suited. But, just to test the idea, I’ve created Elmside Pictorial. Which is pictorial of Elmside Street. Elmside is about 1.5 blocks from where I currently live on Waubesa. It has a very nice, circular park, and ends at Lake Monona. It’s a pretty street, that has children, birds, squirrels, some dogs, and lots of cats. Ohh, yeah, and some pretty houses.
I also added some more pictures of Josie, my infamous cat.
