Atwood in the PM

Atwood-Schenk neighborhood, Madison, WI. Early morning.

Everyone who knows me, knows I’m a morning person. So much so, that when my sleep patterns change it just means I wake up earlier and earlier. Within the last two years or so, I went from having my standard wake-up time be between 4am-5am, til having my wake-up time be between 2am-4am. At first this was annoying, but I’ve adjust, largely due to the lovely and talented Jill Hennessy and the 2am episodes of Crossing Jordan, I’ve adapted.

Anyway, that’s a little background, on why my recent bought of evening walks is just plain weird. I’m not talking 6pm or 7pm here. I’m talking 9pm or 10pm walks. Typically with a 2am wake-up, I’m in bed by 10pm, not out walking by the lake or the river, or the creek, except for now.

But the other day, I was out for one of these random walks, and I didn’t have my camera. I oddly enough, had deliberately decided not to bring it, because I still haven’t read the manual and know nothing about taking night photos. But of course, then I felt like an idiot, because a beautiful, god-inspiring full moon was out. I needed my camera and was at least two miles or so from home. So after that experience, I decided to keep my camera with me on my night walks.

I still haven’t read the manual, but I have started taking night photos. Some are unexpectedly good—nothing to do with skill, I promise. Here’s my first set of photo’s Atwood in the PM. I personally like these images— IMG 0889, IMG 0884, IMG 0881, IMG 0877, and IMG 0876.

The fast moving effect was not deliberate, I accidently turned off the focus. Oops.
