Jack and Josie: Photo Gallery

An outgoing orange tabby cat, meets my cynical, possessive cat.

Jack is the neighborhood orange tabby, decided that he’d give me a go at being his new keeper.

A few time per week, Jack has stopped by. Typically in the morning to get some Whiska treats. It’s been a ritual since after he scare the crap out of me, when I first moved into my home on Atwood. After, I had purchased a reading chair, I sat by the window on a beautiful summers day, and was reading some book.  All of a sudden, I look out my second floor window, and a cat is staring at me. I jump, he jumps, and runs away.  That was Jack.

So, last week, it was fairly cold, and Jack comes running around, for his treat, I assumed. But he didn’t even pause to stop for the bag shaking, he just continued into the house, and up the stairs, then turned around with a look of, “you coming?” For three full nights and four days, Jack stayed with me, enjoying my company despite the hissing cat, in my wake, who wouldn’t play with him. Jack had a merry time, until one evening, the neighbor came knocking inquiring about her missing cat—that’s right Jack.

Jack seemed happy to see his owner; and Josie was thrilled to have him gone. She gave a few extra hisses, and threw out a claw as the door closed behind them.

Enjoy some photos from my extended weekend with Jack.
