Musical Baton-It’s Addictive

An unofficial musical baton acceptance.

I’ve accepted an unofficially baton by Kate Bolin. I had just been lamenting that since I don’t really post in the CSS/Web Design sphere, that I would never get the musical baton— officially or unofficially. But little did I know that the whole thing actually started over in Live Journal world and was making its way into Blogger as well.

So while it would have been wonderful to receive a meme from someone such as Veerle Pieters, or event to wait for an official invite, which may reach me in the next week or two. I decided its good enough to get an unofficial invite from a former casual acquaintance. That’s the randomness of life.

Total Volume of Music Files on My Computer
76.47GB on my main music drive, an external 150GB LaCie FireWire Drive
22.08GB, 4821 songs, 18.9 days of music on my PowerBook G4, my primary machine

I also have two 40GB iPods, one pretty much matches my laptop but with more songs; the other has just audiobooks, podcasts, and voice records from conferences, workshops or me talking to myself or taking audio notes.

The Last CD I Bought Was...

Stand Up by Dave Matthews Band (iTMS)

Song Playing Right Now...

Speed of Sound by Coldplay was playing when I started typing but
I Know, I Know, I Know by Tegan and Sara is on now.

Five Songs I Listen to a Lot or that Mean a lot to Me...

Choosing five songs that mean a lot to me would take to long, so I’m going to go with five songs I’ve been listening to a lot, lately (this changes almost monthly, sometimes weekly.

  1.  Fotografia by Juanes off “Un Dia Normal”
  2.  Sleeps with Butterflies by Tori Amos off “The Beekeeper”
  3.  When the Day Is Short by Martha Wainwright off “Bloody Mother Fucking Assholes”
  4.  They All Laughed by Fred Astaire off “Fred Astaire’s Finest Hour”
  5.  American Baby by Dave Matthew’s Band off “Stand Up”

People I’m passing this on to...

Sigh, most of my friends don’t blog. So I’ll add friends, clients, and random acquaintances to the mix, hopefully someone from my list will do it.

Joe Chellman, Laura Axelrod, Drunkenblog, Tina Paul, and But She’s a Girl

To all, go forth and multiple…
