Version 3.0 Coming next Weekend

Upcoming site modifications may have the site down the weekend after Thanksgiving.

Dear Readers—

Change is in the air. While, I like a number of the elements of the current website, I’ve decided its time for a change. So this weekend, I’ll be working to introduce Version 3.0 of Wide-Eyed & Laughing. What am I hoping for? I want to let you in on even more of my life—so I’m looking to make it easier to post quick links, and tidbits, on things I find amusing, infuriating, or intriguing. I’m also looking to share a lot more about my day-to-day life. This won’t replace the personal area mostly used by my friends, but will include more ramblings about my new adventures with raw foods, green smoothies, the MonkeyBar Gym, walks, etc.  My frustrations with family or friends, will remain semi-private and only accessible to my family and friends (sorry).

Overall, I’m hoping to make the web site, something I use more, and hopefully of use to you as well. So, my wanderings and contributions to other websites—such as Newsvine, YouTube, and other websites, will hopefully be consolidated abit. Additionally, for those just interested in my videos, I’ll be setting up better RSS feeds, so you don’t have to visit daily to see if I’ve updated.

Hopefully, you’ll all like the new design. I’m not going for anything drastically different color wise. I love my banner, created by Paul Johnson (sorry I don’t know a website for him); and am fond of the colors, which I worked so hard on to create Version 2.0 of the site. So this is more just a modification of the layout and content elements.

Sincerely,

Alnisa Allgood

Updated: Okay, so Version 3 is taking a bit more effort than I had originally thought, but I’m really enjoying some of the new features; so the extra time is just to insure that they are easy to maintain. So the new launch will probably be the weekend after Thanksgiving.
