Commentary

Okay! So I've been sick for the last week, with an over emphasis on achy, feverish, and non-coherent for the last few days. This is about as much coherency as I can manage

I love iTunes. I love my iPod. And I love playlist. I have way too many of them. I'll be super happy when Apple allows you to organize playlist, say like folders or super groupings. That said, while my music likes and dislikes are all over the map, I do tend to get stuck every so often. Typically on a playlist that becomes my "now" playlist, as in I need to hear it now to get work done, to tune out my mother, to avoid life, to make life more pleasant, etc., etc. You get the picture.

Well, since mid-January 2005, that "now" playlist has been "Sway" a great blend of newcomers, oldtimers, and those who really should be more appreciated then they have been. Most of the song are available via iTunes (27 out of the 30), so I've created an iMix to share. Tell me what you think.

Good taste. Because of what you’d like, I’d recc’ Harry Manx (impossible to really get on iTunes now)… think amazing blues guitarist who went to india for several years, and now it it influences his work. If you search for him on Amazon, i’d recc the album (name escapes me) with the “crazy love” cover song, which you can list to to see if its your thing…

Cool!  I love music recommendations. Which album do you recommend, “Dog My Cat” or “West Eats Meet”.  Dog My Cat seems to be rated fairly well, its from 2001. I’m not certain if your recommending newer or older stuff of his.

By the way, great conversation on your “Apple Sues” post at DrunkenBlog. The back and forth has been great, even though my opinion seems to be the minority (sad).

I’m recc both older and newer (in that genre, but don’t get me started on others, like just plain good rock, but that can wait for email)… but as for the album, neither album you mentioned. smile

You want Wise and Otherwise which is from 2002 and is the one that has the ‘Crazy Love’ and a cover of Hendrix’s ‘Foxy Lady’. If you click a few of the samples there on amazon’s page, you should be able to get an idea of just how unique they are.
