Alright, so I'm having a perfectly reasonable Sunday. I took my mother to lunch at the Olive Garden (She loves the minestrone soup; I love the salad; We rarely actually make it to an entree). My mother is being my mother, and rambling on about something. The good thing is she kind of mumbles; and let me tell you while mumbling sucks when you want to hear what was being said, it works very well, when you don't.
So mom's going on, and on; and just snatches of words and phrases are entering my conciousness here and there—"Miltary uniforms...she use to work at a bank. Second husband. Army." My brain, actually starts to formulate a "Huh!" But then I'm totally distracted, because this song is playing in my head, "da dunt, dooon nht doon." I'm getting no mental lyrics, and can't recognize the god damn, "da dunt, dooon nht doon", and my mom is becoming more insistant that I pay attention, "...you remember her right." "What, who??" I nod my head "yes," because that's typically more than satisfactory for her, and she returns to the indistinct mumble.
I'm now left to ponder, the "da dunt, dooon nht doon," when all of a sudden Felicity Huffman starts walking toward me in my mind. She's strutting her stuff, and I'm feeling more than just a little bit envious of William H. Macy. My conscious is struggling desparately to catch up with my unconscious, meanwhile Felicity has just started to shimmy, and then everything gels—"Desperate Housewives."
I'm smiling now, because, now my brain can retrieve the entire scene, instead of just Felicity Huffman walking and shimming at me. But apparently smiling was the wrong reaction to what my mother was saying, so I get dragged back into her conversation for a moment or two, then its back to Felicity as Lynette Desalvo. Somewhere between K.C & the Sunshine Band singing, "I want to put on, my, my, my my Boogie Shoes" Lynette is joined by Bree Van Der Kamp. My brain has no need of drugs. I have the tiniest little crush on, Bree Vand Der Kamp. OK. I'm crushing madly over her anal retentive, obsessive compulsive, tightly wrapped ass.
That said, I think this isn't appropriate material for lunchtime with mommy. And isn't the brain a wonderful thing, because with that thought, K.C.'s vocal screech to a halt, and the hustle and bustle of waiters and customers eating and milling about return, with my mothers mumblings. But as soon as I drop my mother off, and I'm walking down the stairs from her apartment, a loud "da dunt, dooon nht doon" returns to my head. And I start to smile again, and this time, there's Bree, then there's Lynette, and there's Marcia and Felicity and they're all jumbled up and dancing to K.C.'s Boogie Shoes; and forget how the scene actually happened, the above clip is totally how is how I remember it... What about you??

Notes
This clip was put together in about an hour. Really, I wasn't planning on making a music video. I didn't even use the full song, and the songs ONLY two minutes and twelve seconds. (Can I pause to revel for a moment on one thing Disco has totally over Techno, brevity. They're both fun, danceable, and you can get a nice work out too them, but really...you actually do need drugs to dance to the fifteen minute version of "Listen to Your Heart" by DHT. Alright pause over)
Now as I was saying, the goal wasn't to make a music video. I was really just trying to put together a couple of screens with Bree and Lynette together as still shots, but Lynette kept shimming and Bree was being all enticing, so...
