Mike Industries: After a week with the iPhone, Mike gives his review. |
Commentary/Review
I’m loving Mike Davidson’s review of the iPhone. If you don’t know who Mike is, he’s one of the founders’ of Newsvine; where I often feed my serious news addiction. If you don’t know what the iPhone is…really, just stop reading and go elsewhere.
It was hard, very hard, not to be one of the first few 100,000 owners of an iPhone. My tech gadgetry lust was in full swing. But sometimes, real life intervenes, and he’s an ass who says, “No candy for Alnisa!” in a smarmy voice. So while, I decide to wait out my lust for a possible December matrimonial engagement. But in an effort to get to know my love better; I have been reading everything and anything about my beautiful little girl. Oh, she’s silky, so shiny, so very, very pretty and her UI makes me gasp! (sigh)
But as I was reading Mike’s review this quote, made me laugh out loud:
Another cool thing about the casing is that if you hold the iPhone correctly in bright sunlight, you can shine the reflective Apple logo onto a wall like the Batman symbol. I played around with this for about 20 minutes on the seatback in front of me on a recent plane ride. The person next to me didn’t get it.
I love that. So many reviewer’s try too hard to be objective. Whatever happen to pure love or absolute hate? It’s a review gosh darn it, give me something to focus on. And Mikey deliveries. Because review after wonderful review of how great the iPhone is or how bad the AT&T activation process was. I was loosing hope that anyone would say something new. But now, I can sit back and envision Mike reflecting the Apple logo like a bat signal for those of us who believe that the beauty of technology, isn’t just the amazing scientific and mathematical accomplishment, but the accompaniment of awe-striking industrial design as well.

I wonder if the recessed jack was designed this way to protect it from breaking internally, when the iPhone is in your pocket with the earphones mounted. My first iPod (2G) sustained such damage (the soldering of the housing of the jack broke off inside resulting in complete loss of sound) from the lateral pressure afflicted on the jack when inside my pocket.iphone 3g case

The only differences between the old iPhone 3G and the new iPhone 3G S is that the new iPhone can record and edit video, understand voice commands and it includes a compass. t is also faster than the previous iPhone but you had to be in a 3G area to experience the difference in speed.

The Iphone is A pretty awesome phone. Aside from the touch screen feature it has a gps system which hopefully through updates will be from turn to turn which will save you from buying he navigation products they sell in stores. Also there are many Applications available in the Apple App store that are actually useful. One of my favourite ones allows me to find a name of a song thats on the radio or just playing somewhere. There are a variety of Apps and and games that will suit an individual.
